The Wenonah Wee Lassie is the classic Adirondack-style paddling boat from the romantic days of recreational paddling. Designed for all paddlers, our rendition marries this historical design with our proven composite construction techniques to produce a modernized classic that the original designers could never have imagined.
Built exclusively in an Aramid construction, our Wee Lassie is an effortless carry to and from the waters edge. Easy to maneuver, the Wee Lassie is a joy to paddle while exploring small lakes and ponds. This is the original alternative to recreational kayaking, offering a spacious, open boat cockpit allowing you to fully experience your natural surroundings. Paddled with a single or double bladed paddle, the Wenonah Wee Lassie brings the majestic serenity of solo paddling enjoyment into the 21st century.
Flex-Core with Aramid Construction:
Flex-core construction creates a more rugged canoe than our Ultra-light core, and is meant for general paddling on all but extreme waters. In our Flex-core constructions a structural-foam core is laminated into the hull, orienting the composite fibers carefully to distribute loads. We add an extra fabric layer to the whole hull. This adds a bit of weight but makes for a stronger, more rigid canoe. Side ribs are not needed because this layup distributes more material throughout the hull. The result is a tough canoe that is still fairly light weight. Using Aramid in our Flex-core layup adds a little weight, but saves some money. The extra layers of fabric and gel-coat finish makes these boats slightly more resistant to damage than our Ultra-Light canoes as well.
