ONLINE RETURNS POLICY

Online returns can be processed for payment credit within 30 days of shipment delivery date. Any return requests after 30 days of shipment delivery date can be made for an online store account credit. 

Returns are not accepted for the following items:  

  • Items that cannot be sold as "new"
  • Special ordered "non-stocking" items
  • Drop shipment items
  • Gift cards can not be returned or refunded

Defective Items:  

All defective items are eligible for in-store credit or replacement only. Sherper's will attempt to repair or replace your defective item under the vendor's terms. 

To Return Your Item:  

  1. Please include a copy of your order receipt in your package
  2. If making an exchange, please note the item and size which you are exchanging your purchased item for.
  3. Send all returns to:

  4. Once a package is received, your refund or exchange will be processed within 24-48 hours. 

Please Note:  

  • Returns or exchanges are sent back to our store at the purchaser's expense
  • If an item is being exchanged, we will cover shipment cost of the new item back to the customer on orders over $50.00. 
  • Shipping and expedited shipping charges are non-refundable

 SHIPPING EXCLUSIONS: 

  • Large watercraft items, such as kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, trailers, and foam water mats are limited to shipping within the contiguous United States. We do not ship these items internationally, to Hawaii, or Alaska at this time. 
  • Propane, camp fuel, or other items deemed hazardous are limited to shipping via ground only within the contiguous United States.

FREE SHIPPING ON QUALIFYING ORDERS OF $50 OR MORE

If the items in your order which qualify for "free shipping" total $50.00 or more, those items will ship completely FREE! Items that do not qualify for "free shipping" that are in your order will be the only items that you are billed for at checkout, as shipping costs vary based on weight and size of the item. Unfortunately, most closeout, clearance and sale items are not eligible for free shipping. Alaska and Hawaii are not eligible for free shipping.

Kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, and other larger items do not qualify for free shipping.

All Non-Watercraft Orders Typically Ship within 24-48 Hours

Most orders placed Monday through Friday are shipped the same day if the order is submitted by 12:00 PM Central Time (depending on product availability). Orders submitted after 12:00 PM on Fridays will be processed to ship the following Monday. When your order is marked "shipped," you will receive an email containing the tracking number within 24 hours. Please allow up to 48 hours for shipment data to update, as tracking numbers are created before the item is physically picked up by UPS.

If for any reason your order cannot be fulfilled within 24-48 hours due to stock availability, a customer service representative will contact you with options regarding your order. 


In-Store Pick Up 

Customers can choose to pick-up their online order at our Hales Corners, WI location. If you choose this option at checkout, you will receive an email and phone call notifying you when your order is available and ready to be picked up in-store. Orders are typically available within 24-48 hours.

International & Other Shipping Restrictions

  • Sherper's is excited to offer international shipping! Please see the following restrictions on international products: 

    - Large watercraft items, such as kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, trailers, and foam water mats are limited to shipping within the contiguous United States. We do not ship these items internationally, to Hawaii, or Alaska at this time.

We Recycle

At Sherper's we care about the environment and attempt to recycle all packing materials. We receive many packages at our stores each day, and strive to use all of that packaging to ship your order before using any new packing materials. Stay green!


Canoes, Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards | How Do We Ship Our Large Watersports Gear?

Single Recreational Kayaks under 16’ in length are shipped via Estes-Express Freight.

These kayaks are carefully wrapped in multiple layers of corrugated cardboard and thick plastic wrap. 

Kayak deliveries via Estes-Express typically take between 5-14 days for delivery from the time of purchase.

Once the kayak reaches the nearest Estes-Express terminal to your home, a driver will reach out to schedule delivery as someone will need to be present to receive the shipment. 

While we take extra care to wrap each kayak thoroughly, it is important to inspect your kayak immediately upon delivery PRIOR to signing for it. Once a kayak is signed for, we are unable to file any damage claims or have the kayak returned, so it is very important to fully inspect the kayak before you sign for the delivery.

Once the driver arrives with your kayak, carefully open the kayak and fully inspect it for any major damage. If there is any damage, at this point you can deny the shipment and have the driver take it back. Please take photos of the damage to submit to [email protected] for the purpose of filing a damage claim. 

If there is no damage, or very minor imperfections and you choose to keep the kayak, you can sign to accept the delivery.

Please note that once a kayak is signed for, we are unable to file claims with the freight shipper, and the kayak is unable to be returned. Fully inspect all sides of your kayak thoroughly prior to signing. By making a purchase, you are acknowledging and accepting these conditions.

Tandem kayaks, heavier fishing kayaks, canoes, and longer touring kayaks over 16’ in length will ship via KAS Transport. 

KAS Transport is a specialty kayak and canoe delivery service, guaranteeing your kayak arrives damage-free. Kayak deliveries via KAS Transport can take between 1-4 months for delivery, depending upon current demand. 

Kayaks are wrapped thoroughly with protective plastic, and transported directly by KAS Transport from our warehouse to your home. A driver from KAS Transport will reach out once they reach your delivery region to schedule a delivery. Someone does need to be available to accept the delivery from KAS Transport. While damage is very unlikely, it is still suggested to inspect your kayak and note any damage before the driver leaves. If you find any imperfections, please take photos and submit them to [email protected] within 24 hours of receiving your kayak. We will work with KAS Transport to evaluate the damage and provide a resolution depending upon the level of damage.

PLEASE NOTE: These items are not available for free shipping due to size and weight. An adult must be present to sign and receive the shipment of any canoe, kayak, or stand up paddleboard. 

In-Store Pickup of Canoes, Kayaks & Stand Up Paddleboards: Orders will usually be available for in-store pickup within 1-3 business days at the location designated at checkout if the item is available. We will notify you via email or phone call that your order has arrived at the designated Sherper's retail location and is ready for pickup.


Stolen or Lost Package Policy:

In the event that your package is successfully delivered, however, is unable to be located due to potential theft, OR if your package is lost in transit, Sherper's will work with the buyer to file a claim with the appropriate shipping carrier to help retrieve the package. In the event that the claim is approved by the shipping carrier, Sherper's will either refund the customer or provide a replacement package. If the claim is denied by the shipping carrier, Sherper's is unable to provide a refund or replacement. 

In-Store Returns Policy

When returning items in-store, a valid state-issued photo ID and phone number are required as they will be used in a manner for authorizing and managing returns in our in-store database.

Returns are not accepted on the following items: 

  • Items that cannot be sold as "new"
  • Merchandise marked "as is"
  • Cut yard goods
  • Ammunition
  • Special ordered "non-stocking" items
  • Drop shipment items

Defective Items:

Refunds: 

  • Refunds after 30 days of purchase will be given in the form of in-store credit
  • Original form of payment must be present to refund your payment
  • Refunds without a receipt will be given in the form of in-store credit and the item will be valued at it's lowest sale price
  • Items being returned with a gift receipt are eligible for in-store credit only
  • Any purchase paid for by check must allow 10 days from date of purchase to clear our bank before a cash refund is given
